Election updates available online

WASHOE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

Periodically throughout the day, the Washoe County registrar of voters sampled six of the 85 polling locations to estimate Election Day voter turn-out. Near 2 p.m. voter turn-out was approximately 2-3 percent, increasing to 5-6 percent by 5 p.m.

For a list of candidates who have filed to run for office, go to the Washoe County webpage at: http://www.washoecounty.us/voters/. Election updates will be available online through Twitter by following @washoecounty or #washoevotes .

Election results will not be released until after the Nevada Secretary of State approves the process. Unofficial results, expected by 11 o’clock tonight, will be posted online at http://www.washoecounty.us/voters/.
