This summer, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte hosts a week-long leadership program from June 11 to June 15 at Bartley Ranch. “Strong Girls Bright Futures” provides workshops on leadership and empowerment to build a brighter future for young women ages 13-15.
All sessions are led by trained facilitators and include yoga and wellness, sexuality education and team-building and leadership.
“‘Strong Girls Bright Futures” is designed to build young women up and educate them on important topics,” Kayla Armbruster, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte community educator, said. “They can ask questions in a safe environment and learn together what it means to be a leader and a strong woman.”
The program has a suggested donation of $250, but partial and full scholarships are available. Space is limited; for more information or to RSVP call 775-321-8722 by May 28 and reserve your space.
