Saint Mary’s Medical Group (SMMG) has opened a new primary care location in south Reno. This will become the seventh practice location for the Medical Group, which currently has offices in downtown, northwest Reno, Spanish Springs and Galena. Located at 6580 S. McCarran Blvd, Suite A, the new practice will offer greater convenience and flexibility for patients in the surrounding neighborhoods. Primary care services will be available Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A family medicine physician with over 25 years of practice history, Linda Lafferty, D.O. will lead the new SMMG primary care location. Dr. Lafferty is a Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate and completed her residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington, Mich. After residency training, she served as a clinical trainer of the Family Medicine Residency program at Botsford General Hospital and an assistant clinical professor and graduate teaching assistant at Michigan State University. Dr. Lafferty is board certified from the American College of General Practitioners in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery.
