City of Reno hires Special Events Program Manager

The City of Reno is pleased to announce Alexis Hill as the Special Events Program Manager.
Today, Hill begins her employment with the City of Reno after serving as the Executive Director of Kids and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center. Hill previously worked for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and as a City Planner for the City of Sparks.
As the Special Events Program Manager, Hill will be responsible for managing the activities and operations of all City of Reno special events to help grow Reno’s current tourism base, attract new visitors, and encourage community events that add to the local quality of life. She will work with citizens, downtown business groups, City departments, outside agencies, elected officials, and other groups about the design, planning, production, and promotion of special events. Hill will continue to build relationships with all groups to help preserve and enhance existing events in Reno.
Hill earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University, College Station and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
