Date:

SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

The Summit is proud to announce the return of its annual Fashion Camp, the premier week-long destination for fans of fabulous fashion between the ages of 5-15. This year’s Fashion Camp has expanded to a weeklong event in which campers will learn the tricks of the trade in model behavior, casting calls, design and etiquette. The weeklong camp sessions begin June 25 through August 10.

Each day of camp will kick off a different theme and will bring a wide array of tips, education and fun for campers. The themes include:

Day One-Model Behavior: Campers will create a fashion magazine portfolio, learn how to wear age appropriate make-up, walk the walk as they practice the dos and don’ts of modeling, and also learn about nutrition, personal hygiene, fitness and exercise. Camper attire: comfortable/athletic.

Day Two-Casting Call: During the casting call themed day campers will get hands on practice as they learn posture and posing techniques and perfect their interviewing skills. Following the practice rounds will be a makeover, a golf-themed photo and commercial shoot. Camper attire: golf inspired.

Day Three-Design Diva: Campers will have the chance to showcase their own style and fashion as they create their very own ZED cards, design flip-flops, t-shirts, jewelry and accessories. Camper attire: fashionably funky.

Day Four-Enchanted Etiquette: Campers will learn the basics of how to plan and throw the perfect party. After a multi-course lunch at Carino’s Italian restaurant and a lesson in dining etiquette, campers will learn what it takes to be a host; from menu planning, and thank you cards, to hostess gifts, they will partake in the popular Fashion Camp tea party. Camper attire: party dress.

Day Five-Fashion Frenzy: The week culminates with the campers learning runway posing techniques in preparation for the open fashion show. Adorned with fashionable outfits, hair and make-up, campers will take the stage to showcase what they have learned over the course of week. Camper attire: denim (shorts or skirt to go with camper-designed shirts)

Camp days will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This year’s Fashion Camp features a week-long fashion experience for each age group. Participants should register for the week that corresponds with their age group:
