The City of Reno’s Animal Services Task Force has been invited to tour the Sheriff’s Regional Animal Services facility as part of their third meeting. The meeting is scheduled to begin at noon on Thursday, March 15, 2012 in the facility’s classroom at 2825 Longley Lane.
“Touring the facility with members from the Task Force is a wonderful opportunity for us to highlight the successes of our operation along with the quality of our staff and volunteers,” Sheriff’s Regional Animal Services Manager Barry Brode said. “We are looking forward to sharing ideas and perspectives regarding the future of this important community resource.”
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office assumed management of Regional Animal Services in January of this year. The Sheriff’s Office is currently analyzing protocols and procedures to determine and evaluate that best practices are followed for the benefit of public safety and animal welfare.
