SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
Friday, March 30 from 3-6 p.m. Bully’s #7 on Robb Drive hosts an event to support the March of Dimes in its effort to end prematurity and infant mortality by selling tickets for that evening’s Reno Bighorns basketball game. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold at Bully’s on Friday benefits the March of DimeJscrs, which funds research to develop new treatments to help prevent birth defects and infant health problems.
Friday’s event is held in honor of a local Bully’s employee who lost a child to prematurity. She received support and education from the March of Dimes Northern Nevada Chapter, which inspired her to bring the organization to the attention of Bully’s management. Nevada is at the top of the list for states in which children are born prematurely, with one in seven born too soon. The March of Dimes is the leading non-profit organization for pregnancy and infant health. Its mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature births and infant mortality through research, education and support programs.
Tickets to Friday night’s game versus the Idaho Stampede are $8 and the game begins at 7 p.m. at the Reno Events Center. Each ticket purchase also earns supporters entry into a drawing for $100 in Bully’s Bucks.
