The event commemorates the “Give Back” accomplishments made during the first part of 2012 and encourages residents to keep the kindness going.

To help get the celebration going, food will be served at the Club, located at 2680 E. 9th Street in Reno, at noon and the event will last until 3 p.m. Five Club sites throughout the area are also coordinating volunteer activities for members and staff and encourage community members to coordinate activities of their own prior to the afternoon celebration.

The “Give Back Like Jack” campaign is a partnership of key northern Nevada organizations that benefited from the generosity of the late Jack Reviglio. Partners include: Bishop Manogue High School, Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, Our Lady of the Snows Elementary School and the University of Nevada athletics department. “Give Back Like Jack” encourages people to engage in small daily activities that positively affect a friend, family member, co-worker or even a perfect stranger.

Since its inception on Jan. 1, 2012, Give Back Like Jack activities have included volunteerism by the five participating organizations, such as packing lunches for St. Vincent’s Dining Room, park clean ups and community outreach programs. Other examples of giving back can be seen at www.GiveBackLikeJack.org/blog.
