New parents asked to weigh in on childhood immunizations

Date:

SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

As healthcare becomes more complex, parents are often bombarded with health information but given little chance to express their own concerns and opinions. Through a new online survey about childhood immunizations, parents have the ability to give their opinion on the healthcare discussions that impact their children.

The survey is available now through February 29 for expecting parents or parents of children between the ages of 0-35 months. Anyone who completes the survey can enter a prize drawing for a $100 Visa gift card.

Sponsored by Immunize Nevada, the survey is designed to allow parents to provide feedback about the immunizations required and recommended for their children. Questions range from how they prefer to receive immunization information to how they make decisions for their children’s health, as well as how healthcare professionals and other organizations can best help educate parents about immunizations.

Immunize Nevada will use survey results to help tailor existing programs and resources to parents’ needs. These resources are designed to give timely, accurate information so parents can make educated decisions about immunizations for their children. Receiving feedback from parents is a critical part of ongoing improvement efforts, and will help make the immunization process easier for parents, children and healthcare providers.

If you are interested in taking the survey, visit online at www.surveymonkey.com/INparentsurvey.
