Wordsmith Jared Paul is coming back on February 3rd to the Holland Project to perform his amazing, thoughtful, and often politically-charged poetry. Jared hails from way out east Providence, Rhode Island! His poetry makes a nice addition to Sage Francis’ Strange Famous Records. Helping make the night very special will be special sets from Spoken Views and Two Shits this Poetry Collective. THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!! 6PM > $5>ALLAGES>Holland Project (140 Vesta)!

YES! Schizoplitans at Holland on February 4th!!! With Crush and Red Mercury! All awesome local bands doing something new and different in Reno. You’d be crazy to miss it. Saturday, February 4th /  $5 / 7:30PM!!! I HOPE HE BRINGS HIS BLACK POLE!


Saints of Holland Benefit at St. James Infirmary – FRI+SAT

Our friends Clint and St. James Infirmary have planned an awesome 2-day music benefit for Holland and it happens this weekend! Playing Friday night is Buster Blue, Blunderbusst, and Lucas Young and the Wilderness. Saturday will be rocking with Glacier, Spitting Image The Firebombing, and the mighty Elephant Rifle. This is a great way to support Holland, see awesome local acts, and have a ton of fun.  Please spread the word to all your friends, family and co-workers!  Starts @ 8pm both nights, and is only $10–and all proceeds go to Holland. DO IT!

Nevada Faculty Alliance calls for the resignation of Regent Patrick Boylan over discriminatory comments

The Nevada Faculty Alliance on Sunday called for higher education Regent Patrick Boylan to resign. The faculty group said his comments at Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents meets are transphobic, discriminatory and harassing.
