The Grand Sierra Resort is alive with the romance of Valentine’s Day with special dining options throughout the resort. Celebrate the holiday of love with a memorable culinary experience from one of the resort property’s five restaurants.  All special menu options are prix-fixe and require reservations. Briscola, Charlie Palmer’s Italian restaurant, will be serving guests a three-course meal from 5:30-9:30 p.m.  Featured selections include Dungeness crab “lunas”, braised lamb stuffed giant pasta shells with sun-dried tomato ragout or pan seared sea scallops accompanied with lobster risotto/tomato chive pan sauce.  Guests have the option to select from vanilla mousse stuffed chocolate crepes, chocolate dipped strawberries or Swiss chard and pancetta to top off the Briscola dining journey. Cost is $48.99 per person.

Café Sierra offers a more casual dining experience with a dinner special for two from 4-10 p.m. Each couple will receive one long-stem rose with their filet and Australian lobster dinner.  Guests can start their evening with either Lobster bisque or sweetheart salad.  The entrée of grilled certified Angus tenderloin of beef and Australian lobster tail comes with a choice of rice or potato and vegetable du jour.  Finishing off the special dinner is triple chocolate decadence cake for two accompanied by Hazelnut Chantilly and fresh berry compote.  Cost is $24.95 per person.

For a romantic and memorable dining experience, visit Charlie Palmer Steak this Valentine’s Day. Delight your taste buds with a three-course menu starting out with pan seared sea scallops accompanied by Belgian endive and Meyers lemon pan sauce.  Select from lobster crusted filet mignon with sweet and sour cipoline onions or crispy striped bass with gingered bok choy and shiitake mushroom broth. Complete the evening with vanilla mousse stuffed chocolate crepes.  Dinner special is served between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.  Cost is $61.99 per person.

For all you can eat prime rib and crab legs, visit The Lodge Buffet between 5 and 9 p.m.  Topping off the evening are chocolate lovers desserts and pastries. Cost is $15.99 per person.

The friendly staff and elegant atmosphere makes Rim a perfect setting with a four-course menu from 5:30-9:30 p.m.  Each table has the choice of one dish per course from the appetizer, soup or salad and dessert options. Appetizer selections include coconut shrimp ball or vegetarian lettuce wrap. Sizzling seafood soup, sizzling vegetable soup or cucumber salad set the stage for the an entrée selection of mountain roll with two pieces of sake, salt and pepper shrimp, black mushrooms over Chinese greens, Mongolian beef or chicken and sautéed salmon with needle mushrooms and snow peas.  Topping off the flavorful pan-asian cuisine are selections from mandarin orange cheesecake and chocolate cake with coconut filling.  Cost is $29.95 per person with a minimum reservation of two people. Dinners include white, brown or fried rice.  Customers 21 and over will receive a complimentary glass of Sake.
