Sheriff’s deputies arrest fourth Storey County burglary suspect, seeking information on fifth

On Friday, January 20, 2012, Washoe County Sheriff’s Detectives contacted and detained Shawn Staggs, a 29 year old Sun Valley resident, wanted in connection with the burglaries. Staggs was subsequently arrested by Storey County Detectives and transported to the Storey County Jail on Burglary and Conspiracy charges.

In total, Washoe County Detectives have assisted in taking four suspects into custody: 47 year old Sun Valley resident Daniel Garcia (Bk#12-674), 29 year old Sun Valley resident Joseph Hager (Bk# 12-707), 20 year old Sun Valley resident Robert Allen (Bk#12-918) and most recently Staggs.

The ongoing joint investigation between Washoe and Storey County Detectives has identified a fifth suspect wanted in the case. Storey County authorities have issued an arrest warrant for 36 year old Sun Valley resident Joseph Anthony Young for Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.

Detectives seek the help from the public in locating Young. Young is believed to be in the Reno/Sparks area. Anyone with information on Young’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Detective John Edwards at 328-3326 or provide information anonymously by calling Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
