Northern Nevada Medical Group is pleased to announce that Reka Danko, MD, is now board certified as a Diplomate by The American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Danko is a hospitalist at Northern Nevada Medical Center.
Dr. Danko earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in 2008, where she went on to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine. She joined Northern Nevada Medical Group as a hospitalist in July 2011.
Like a primary care physician, a hospitalist is trained in general medicine and other specialties. Hospitalists focuses entirely on managing the care of hospitalized patients. A hospitalist knows all areas of the hospital and keeps the patient and the patient’s primary care physician informed about care from specialists, test results and any further treatment needed.
Besides hospitalists, Northern Nevada Medical Group provides healthcare services for the entire family, including family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, neurology and sports medicine.
