Jeremy Aguero to speak at this month’s WIN breakfast meeting

Jeremy Aguero, founder and principal analyst at Applied Analysis, will be speaking at this month’s WIN Breakfast meeting, sponsored by Nevada State Bank, on Friday, Jan. 27, at the Peppermill Hotel & Casino at 7 a.m.

Aguero, a fourth-generation Las Vegas resident, founded the leading economic, fiscal and policy research firm in 1997. Applied Analysis caters to a broad client base including both public entities and private companies.

Aguero graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas before attending William S. Boyd School of Law. His career began as an intern/analyst with Coopers & Lybrand’s financial advisory services group.

Aguero’s major past projects include The Hospitality Industry’s Impact on the State of Nevada, which was delivered to the Federal Gaming Impact Study Commission. He has served as chair of the Governor’s Task Force on Tax Policy’s technical working group, co-authored its 1,400-page report and received a Good Government Award from the Nevada Taxpayers Association. Aguero has also been the lead analyst for the Clark County Growth Task Force and was the principal researcher for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Fiscal Impact Series.

As an active member in his community, Aguero is an adjunct professor at UNLV, where he teaches hotel and gaming law. He also serves on the board of directors for Nevada State Bank and the R&R Foundation board, and is president of the Nevada Child Seekers and the executive board secretary for Opportunity Village. He was recently honored as the Alumni of the Year by the UNLV Boyd School of Law and Hispanic of Year by the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce.
