Financial Stability Partnership of Northern Nevada hosts financial fitness fair

WHO:

The Financial Stability Partnership of Northern Nevada (FSPNN), United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS); Sparks Mayor Geno Martini

WHAT:

FSPNN will host its inaugural Financial Fitness Fair to offer free tax preparation to individuals and families earning less than $50,000 per year using IRS certified volunteers. Spanish-speaking translators will be available and no appointment is necessary to participate. Spark Mayor Geno Martini will visit the event and will be available for interviews.

In addition to tax preparation, families will be able to learn more about budgeting and smart money skills, credit reports, housing assistance, utility assistance, energy savings, employment services and more. Families will also have access to one-on-one meetings with certified credit councilors as well as several banking institutions will be available to help open accounts.

WHEN:

Sat., Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (Mayor Martini will arrive at 10:15 a.m.)

WHERE:

Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows located at 2680 E. Ninth St. in Reno.
