MINDEN, Nev. — CV Steak, the Carson Valley Inn’s Nevada-style steakhouse, and Katie’s Country Kitchen, the Inn’s 24-hour restaurant, are offering their regular menus plus specials on New Year’s Eve.
The New Year’s Eve specials in CV Steak are roasted prime rib of beef with shrimp scampi for $29 and alderwood cold-smoked grilled Pacific salmon accompanied with apple butter sauce for $25. As with all CV Steak entrees (except for the hearty pasta dishes), these specials include vegetable and choice of au gratin, house stuffed or baked potato plus table side-tossed salad, sour dough baguette and creamery butter. CV Steak is open from 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday featuring an assortment of appetizers and a generous range of entrees including steaks, chops, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes. Katie’s Country Kitchen is offering two New Year’s Eve specials served from 4 p.m. The blackened New York steak dinner is served with herbed rice pilaf, garden vegetables, choice of soup or house salad and strawberry mousse dessert – all for $16.99. Add a half pound of fried shrimp for just $5. The stuffed fillet of sole is filled with bay shrimp and crab and topped with lemon chive cream sauce. This special is served with rice pilaf and garden vegetables plus choice of soup or house salad for $12.99.
Katie’s offers a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices plus appetizers, desserts and more! Katie’s 24-hour signature special is a $5.99 hamsteak and eggs plate. Katie’s also has a daily $5 lunch special and a featured dinner special each night of the week.
