GOVERNOR’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE

sandovallogo-300x91-5986952-7993263CARSON CITY – First lady Kathleen Sandoval issued the following statement this week:

“I am extremely saddened to hear recent reports of youth suicide in our state and in our country. As first lady and in my work at the Children’s Cabinet, I have dedicated my energies to raising awareness of mental and behavioral health issues and helping Nevadans find assistance. With programs like the Crisis Call Center available at the state level, we must work to ensure individuals are made aware of the resources available to them.

“For more information, please visit www.suicideprevention.nv.gov or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Providers can also find resources at the TeenScreen website.”
