Date:

SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Guys, ghouls and ghosts will scare up some wicked fun in downtown Reno’s Riverwalk District on Sat., Oct 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. in the 5th annual Riverwalk Merchants Halloween Hollow event themed “Monsters & Mayhem” this year.

Fun for All Ages

Halloween fun is kicked up a notch with free family games, entertainment, live music, a doggie costume contest and more at the West Street Plaza Halloween Weekend.

You’ll find bounce houses for the kids, a face painter, food stands and plenty of fun for everyone.

Enjoy live music from several local artists and a special performance by the band “Drinking with Clowns” on the main plaza stage. “Drinking with Clowns” eclectic sounds combine Latin, funk and rhythm and are designed to help you lose yourself in the sound of music. The group’s dual meaning lyrics routinely have audiences smiling in no time.

A special dog costume contest is set for 6:30 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 29th and the following Pup-Crawl will support the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Register at the SPCA booth in the West Street Plaza. It’s a $10 entry fee per dog and all money goes to the SPCA. The Pup-Crawl that follows will be led by the SPCA at 7 p.m.

Enhanced Trick-or-Treat

Not only will costumed candy seeking youngsters get a “treasure map” where they’ll find sweet treats at participating Riverwalk District merchant shops on Sat. Oct. 29th, but they’ll probably run into guys and ghouls in spooky costumes along the way.
