MINDEN, Nev. — October dining at the Carson Valley Inn includes value specials and 24-hour convenience in Katie’s, a variety of entrees in CV Steak and quick-stop fare in Job’s Perk.

CV Steak is open from 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday featuring a selection of tasty appetizers, a bountiful wine list and a generous assortment of entrées including steaks, chops, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes.  All CV Steak entrees include tableside-tossed salad and, except for the pasta dishes, also include vegetable and your choice of potato – baked, au gratin or a one-pound, twice-baked potato.  CV Steak offers a combination of price, selection, ambience and service that make casual dinners and special occasions both affordable and memorable.  Reservations are recommended in CV Steak by calling 775-783-6650.

Katie’s wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices are enhanced by an array of appetizers, desserts, ice cream fountain specialties and more!  Katie’s 24-hour signature special is a $5.99 Hamsteak and Eggs plate (huge!).  There’s also a $4.99 “Loaded Pancakes” special every day from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a different dinner special every Tuesday through Sunday from 2 to 10 p.m.

Katie’s has a special value for INN Club members Mondays in October – any Katie’s menu item is 50% off when using your INN Club points to settle your check.  This half-price value is available 24 hours on Mondays.

Tuesdays in October bring the continuation of Prime Rib night in Katie’s with three size choices, each including double-stuffed baked potato, creamed horseradish and choice of soup or salad.  The Half-Pound Prime Rib is $7.99, the Three-Quarter-Pound cut is $10.99 and the One-Pounder is $13.99.

The Wednesday special is Chicken Parmagiana served on a bed of pasta with Marinara sauce, garlic bread, Parmesan cheese and a choice of soup or salad for $6.99.  Every Thursday in October, Katie’s serves a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner with mashed potatoes, creamed horseradish sauce and choice of soup or salad for only $7.99.

October weekends in Katie’s begin on Friday with the return of the Captain’s Platter with breaded shrimp, white fish and clam strips served with cole slaw, French fries and tartar sauce for $9.99.   On Saturdays, Katie’s brings back another favorite – Burgundy Beef Tips with mushrooms over pasta served with soup or salad and garlic bread for $9.99.

“The Chandler” Southern Fried Chicken dinner continues its long run on Sundays and includes mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and a biscuit all for just $5.99 from 2 to 10 p.m.

Job’s Perk opens daily at 6 a.m. and is a convenient spot for morning coffee and pastries, sandwiches and beverages for lunch or an afternoon/evening fresh-baked cookie or glass of wine.  Job’s Perk also sells newspapers, basic sundries and CVI-logo golf apparel.
