Live entertainment at the Carson Valley Inn

(CARSON CITY, Nev.) –

The Carson Valley Inn features ongoing nightly free live entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge with no cover charge and no drink minimum.  Entertainment hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 to 10 p.m., Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.  Live Entertainment gives way to NFL Football on the big screen HDTV Sunday and Monday evenings.

Steppen Stonz, October 13 – 15:  Steppen Stonz performs Broadway tunes, oldies, Motown and pop – an array of musical styles that appeals to most musical tastes.  The core of the group is the two lead vocalists – Michael Hill and Arthur Hayden – who started in college and have been performing together uninterrupted for over 30 years.  When you see and hear Steppen Stonz, you’ll feel as though you are at a concert and the show is designed especially for you.

Sunday Night and Monday Night Football, October 16 & 17:  HD action on the Cabaret Lounge Big Screen and many of the three-dozen flatscreens, $2 draft beer during all NFL games, Football Munchies for sale in the Cabaret Lounge and prize drawings during Monday Night Football.

Paul Covarelli, October 18 – 19:  Veteran musician Paul Covarelli is a talented guitarist and vocalist.  He started the group Jo Mama over 20 years ago and also plays with other groups in the area covering jazz, swing, blues, Latin and more styles.

Stowaway, October 20 – 22:  Stowaway presents a musical trip around the world visiting ports of call from Hawaii to Australia, Tahiti & the South Seas.  Venture to Africa and the Caribbean including Trinidad and Jamaica all while enjoying music you know and love on each stop along the way.  Sway and rock to the island rhythms of Sea Cruise, Down Under, Hot Hot Hot, La Bamba, Margaritaville and Three Little Birds along with other traditional and original tunes.

Jackie Duazat, October 25 – 26:   Jackie Dauzat has been performing in the Reno-Tahoe area for over thirty years. Born in Louisiana, he has been singing since he was twelve years old. Jackie recorded an album with the Cottonwood South band for Columbia records in the early seventies. He performs songs from artist such as James Taylor, Van Morrison, The Eagles, America and many more.

Stew Stewart, October 27 – 29:  A Stew Stewart show has something for everyone including country music, blues, oldies, comedy, classic rock, Motown and just plain ol’ fun – with a few surprises, too!  A Nevada entertainer for over four decades, Stew has appeared at over 100 state and county fairs, many as the opening act for artists such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Marie Osmond, Herman’s Hermits, The Drifters, The Coasters, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, The Oak Ridge Boys and more!  Stew’s band is a show in itself and they will be joined by Stew for his performances at 8 p.m. Thursday and at 8 and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Ted Nagel, November 1 & 2: Raised in a musical family, Ted has been surrounded by music all his life. Despite being confined him to a wheelchair since birth, he has actively pursued his love of music, singing in numerous churches, a barbershop chorus and many other area venues including his weekly Karaoke gigs in many of Carson Valley’s local hotspots for over 15 years.  He says, “Music is my heart” and his dream is to be a front man for a rock-n-roll band and record a few albums.

DECADES, November 3 – 5:  DECADES presents a vibrant and diverse act. From Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” to Lady Gaga’s “Pokerface”, DECADES’ double-barreled female vocalists and energized rhythm section truly shine when playing hits from the 1940’s to today.  The group includes Samantha Francis (vocals, tambourine), Andrea Desmond (keyboards, vocals), Billy DiBono (drums), Will Watje (guitar, vocals), and Tobias Brooks (bass, guitar, trumpet).

The Carson Valley Inn (www.carsonvalleyinn.com) is located on US Highway 395 in Minden, NV near the start of State Highway 88, twenty minutes from Lake Tahoe’s south shore and 45 minutes south of Reno.  The property includes a recently-remodeled casino and 153-room hotel, 74-room motor lodge, 59-site RV Park, free nightly entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel.  Three dining facilities include Katie’s, Job’s Perk and CV Steak, a Nevada-style steakhouse featuring steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta and more.
