CARSON CITY — Governor Brian Sandoval issued the following statement this evening after being briefed again by state public safety and emergency management officials:
“All reports I’ve received this afternoon and evening indicate a high level of cooperation and efficiency among all Nevada agencies and their federal counterparts. It appears today’s shooting was an isolated incident and I urge Nevadans to focus their thoughts and prayers on the victims of today’s tragic incident and their families.”
Since his afternoon briefing, Sandoval has met with witnesses of today’s shooting and corporate officers from the International House of Pancakes. He has spoken with sheriffs from several Nevada counties and met with the first responders to the crime scene, as well as victims assistance personnel, to thank them for their efforts.
