Safe Kids Washoe County hosts 2nd annual mini-golf tourney

Safe Kids Washoe County will host its second annual “Have a Ball!” Mini-Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Wild Island Miniature Golf Course in Sparks.

Registration for the event is $15 for individuals or $75 for a team of six. Mini Golf Tournament players and teams are encouraged to wear costumes around the “Have a Ball” theme including jerseys or uniforms representing their favorite sports stars or teams. Prizes will be awarded for team scores and costumes.

This entry fee also includes a post-tournament pizza party at Coconut Bowl. The event will also include a 50-50 raffle. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Accidental injury is the number one cause of death for children ages 14 and under in the United States and as many as 90 percent of accidental injuries can be prevented. Funds raised by the Mini-Golf Tournament will assist Safe Kids Washoe County fund local parent and children education safety programs to keep local children safe.
