Social Services Block Grant/Title XX
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services intends to use the federal Social Services Block Grant/Title XX for the period July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012, to fund the following services: Adoption, case management, counseling, day care for adults, day care for children, employment, family planning services, foster care for children, health-related services, home-based services, information and referral, prevention and intervention, protective services for adults, protective services for children, residential treatment, special services for persons with developmental or other physical disabilities, special services for youth involved in or at risk of involvement with criminal activity, substance abuse and transportation services.

These services are available to individuals residing in Nevada who request services, are determined in need of services and meet the eligibility requirements.  Service availability varies by geographic area.

A copy of the Social Services Block Grant/Title XX Intended Use Report, which identifies the services to be provided, agencies selected to deliver the services, eligibility requirements and estimated expenditures may be obtained by writing to Laurie Olson or Earline Robertson, Grants Management Unit, Department of Health and Human Services, 4126 Technology Way, Suite 100, Carson City, NV  89706; by calling direct (775) 684-4000 or by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
