Kathy Carter has been named director of communications for Renown Health. In her new position, she will manage a team of professionals responsible for the internal and external communications on behalf of the more than 4,500 employee healthcare network serving northern Nevada.
Carter is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. She has nearly 30 years experience in communications most recently serving as Washoe County’s Director of Community Relations for the past 13 years. She has also worked in similar positions with the Airport Authority of Washoe County and Sierra Pacific Power Company. She is involved in several non-profit organizations within our community.
