Sundance Books and Music hosts story time with Joyce Rossi on first Fridays

SUNDANCE NEWS RELEASE

What: Local children’s book author Joyce Rossi shares stories, rhymes, songs and activities with your little ones at Sundance Books and Music on the first Friday of every month. The programs are designed for children ages 3 to 6 accompanied by a chaperone, but young people of all ages are welcome. Set the foundation for a life-long love of learning and reading.

Where: Sundance Books and Music, 121 California Avenue, Reno.

When: The first Friday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. beginning September 2.

About Joyce Rossi: Originally from Marin County, California, Joyce Rossi has lived in Northern Nevada for 45 years. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a degree in elementary education and has worked as a teacher, graphic designer, muralist and illustrator. In 1994, she wrote and illustrated a children’s book titled The Gullywasher, which was published by Northland Publishing. The Gullywasher was awarded the Arizona Author/Illustrator Award for best picture book of the year by the Arizona Library Association in 1999. Joyce also served as a regional advisor for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators for three years.

Since opening its doors in 1985, Sundance Books and Music has been dedicated to the service of books and book lovers. As a local, independent bookstore, Sundance is committed to strengthening and contributing to both our local and global communities.
