SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

(CARSON CITY, Nev.) – Due to high demand for the September 17 Collin Raye Concert at the Carson Valley Inn, a second show has been added for Friday night, September 16.

According to Joey Whitacre, Director of Casino Operations and Marketing, “The Saturday night show is just about sold out and we did not want to start turning people away with three weeks to go before the concert. We were fortunate that Collin was available on Friday, September 16 and he was most cooperative in working with us to rearrange his travel plans and add a Friday night show. Collin remembers appearing at the Carson Valley Inn over 25 years ago with the Wray Brothers Band and he is excited about returning.”

A five-time nominee for country music’s Male Vocalist of the Year, Collin Raye will be performing both nights in the up-close setting of the Valley Ballroom. Twenty-three of Collin’s 25 singles went top 10; fifteen of these going all the way to #1.  Some of his biggest hits were ballads “Love, Me”, “Little Rock” and “In This Life” plus rockers “I Think About You”, “My Kind of Girl”, “That’s My Story” and “I Want You Bad.”  You’ll enjoy many of these hits and more at his special Carson Valley Inn appearance.

Raye shot to fame with “Love, Me” in 1991. Listeners were so touched they used its lyrics at funerals and memorial services. That set the cornerstone for a career built on meaningful songs. “Little Rock” was an anthem for the recovery community. “Not That Different” pleaded for tolerance. “In This Life” became a wedding favorite. He won awards for the child-advocacy video “I Think About You.”

Tickets for either night are just $25 and are available at the Carson Valley Inn hotel desk or by phone at 775-783-6606. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. 21 or over, please.

The Carson Valley Inn (www.carsonvalleyinn.com) is located on US Highway 395 in Minden, NV near the start of State Highway 88, twenty minutes from Lake Tahoe’s south shore and 45 minutes south of Reno.  The property includes a recently-remodeled casino and 153-room hotel, a 74-room motor lodge, a 59-site RV Park and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel.  Three dining facilities include Katie’s, Job’s Perk and CV Steak, a Nevada-style steakhouse featuring steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta and more.
