CARSON CITY – Gov. Brian Sandoval issued the following statement today in response to the cocaine arrest and seizure on Interstate 15:
“I wish to commend the members of the Southern Nevada Highway Interdiction High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force who seized 415 pounds of cocaine earlier today. This action represents the largest cocaine seizure in Nevada history and is proof that state and local law enforcement officials are working closely together to combat crime. The scourge of drug trafficking, particularly at levels like these, cannot be tolerated in our state. I join all Nevadans in saluting the team who made this arrest and the men and women who support them every day in keeping our streets, schools, and communities safe.”
