As only one of nine hospitals in the state to receive grant funds from the Nevada Hospital Association, Renown Regional Medical Center was honored for excellence in evacuation policy, procedures and practice.
The $10,000 grant was awarded in July and will be used to further develop and implement hospital preparedness efforts including medical evacuation/shelter programs in case of a major emergency. Renown Regional was the only Reno hospital to receive the grant funds.
