Party results in 18 arrests

Today, at approximately 0100 hours, Washoe County deputies were summoned to the area of E. 6th Ave. in Sun Valley on the report of a fight involving approximately 40 subjects. Upon arrival, deputies encountered multiple vehicles leaving the scene. Deputies were able to stop and detain approximately 21 subjects within the 800 block of E. 6th Ave.

During the course of the investigation, deputies were able to ascertain that a party had taken place at approximately 0100. A fight broke out between at least two members at the party.

One subject was struck in the head with an unknown object, sustaining multiple lacerations to the face and forehead. The subject was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The secondary subject involved in the fight was not on scene when deputies arrived and no arrest was made.

Additionally, deputies arrested seven juveniles and nine adults under the age of 21. The juveniles were booked into Jan-Evans Juvenile Detention Center and the adults into the Washoe County Detention Facility. Five juveniles were released to their parents. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
