TMCC NEWS RELEASE
Annual Fall Welcome Fair will connect new students with faculty, staff and academic resources
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) welcomes new students for the fall 2011 semester and will host its annual ‘Fall Welcome Fair’ on Wednesday, Sept. 14. Students will have the opportunity to connect and engage with TMCC faculty and staff to learn about the wide variety of academic programs and campus resources that the college has to offer. The fair will be located in the Student Center on the Dandini Campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“Students are our number one priority and it is crucial for them to know about the programs and people we have here to help them transition to college,” said Dr. John Tuthill, vice president of student services and academic affairs at TMCC. “The Fall Welcome Fair is a great opportunity for new students to meet TMCC’s faculty and staff and learn more about the campus.”
The Welcome Fair will help students organize their time and utilize their skills to reach educational goals and stay on track to graduate. Representatives from various educational programs will also be on hand for students with program-specific questions.
