Golf Headquarters hosts events for golfers of all types during two club fitting events this September featuring legendary brands Cleveland Golf and PING and demonstrating some the newest technology available today.  On Friday, Sept. 2 Cleveland Golf brings its mobile fitting van to Reno’s Golf Headquarters from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. followed by a visit from the PING mobile fitting team on Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., helping golfers improve swing, distance and accuracy in time for the final months of the golf season.

“Custom fitting is key to a golfer’s game because every golfer is different,” said Scott Hickey, owner of Golf Headquarters.  “A custom set of clubs can change a player’s game significantly because it takes into account things like individual height, arm length, hand size and swing speed.”

Huntington Beach, Calif.’s Cleveland Golf visits northern Nevada as part of an extensive, nationwide demonstration and fitting tour designed to help golfers find the perfect equipment for his or her game. During the Sept. 2 event, the mobile fitting team uses Trackman Launcher and RightWeight Fitting Technology to identify the nuances of each golfer’s game, maximizing the impact of each and every swing. Attendees also are invited to try the new CG16 Cleveland Wedge and CG16 Irons with Laser Milled technology and available in both Tour and Standard series. The brand’s new Launcher Ultralite Series are available for demonstration as well as the latest products from Srixon and Never Compromise.

As one of the oldest club manufacturers in the business, PING is a pioneer in club fitting, bringing the benefits of custom clubs to the everyday golfer for more than 50 years. Utilizing computerized club fitting and state-of-the-art TRACKMAN Doppler Radar technology, the PING mobile fitting van brings Reno-Tahoe area golfers a personalized analysis designed to ensure maximum performance from each club. In addition, the new PING Color Code Chart features 12 color codes separated by .75 degrees to provide golfers a more precise fit for improved accuracy and consistency. A wide variety of PING demo clubs also will be available for sampling during the Sept. 7 event.

“At Golf Headquarters we’re dedicated to helping every golfer, no matter what level, achieve their personal best. We’re here to serve you and hosting events like these fittings and demo days are a big part of that. I encourage anyone who’s interested in golf to come down and take part,” added Hickey.

Golf Headquarters is located at 4112 Kietzke Lane in Reno and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
