CARSON CITY, Nev. — Join Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA) in welcoming the new and expanded companies to the Sierra Region at the 2nd annual “Bubbles, BBQ & Business Recognition Dinner” Aug. 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Supper Club at Genoa Lakes Golf & Country Club in Genoa, Nev. This recognition dinner will showcase six expanded companies and 12 new companies that have located in the Sierra Region during the past year. Combined, these companies add more than 550 new jobs to the region, as well as an estimated 600 seasonal workers, with a first year economic impact of more than $60 million.
“The primary focus of the ‘Bubbles, BBQ & Business Recognition Dinner’ program is networking,” Rob Hooper, executive director of NNDA, said. “We want to introduce these new-to-the-region companies to our investors and community leaders while enjoying a relaxing social evening. It’s all about welcoming and getting to know our new business residents and also saying thank you to those existing companies who experienced growth this past year. We believe connecting our investors and business community to celebrate this great economic news is vitally important.”

This year’s dinner will be at the beautiful Genoa Lakes Golf & Country Club, 1 Genoa Lakes Drive in Genoa, Nev. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31. Cost is $60 per person.
