Reno-Tahoe Open at Montreux ticket packages now availablefor 13th annual tournament, Aug. 1-7

Get in the swing of things with PGA TOUR ticket specials, discounts and packages

The Reno-Tahoe Open at Montrêux, one of the PGA TOUR’s only West Coast summer stops, offers golf fans and spectators ticket packages, discounts and specials for the 13th annual tournament, Aug. 1-7, 2011, with deals ranging from Clubhouse Season passes, Good-Any-Day tickets, Mirassou Wine Walk tickets, Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA! party packs, free entry for members of the military and much more, making summertime activity planning a breeze. The tournament features a field of 132 PGA TOUR professionals competing for a $3 million purse and 250 FedExCup points at northern Nevada’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Course, Montrêux Golf & Country Club.  Spectators can purchase tickets in advance at www.RenoTahoeOpen.com, by calling the tournament office at 775-322-3900 or at either of the public parking lots located at Galena High School and the Grand Sierra Resort.

The following is information on each of the ticket options available for the 2011 Reno-Tahoe Open at Montrêux:

Good-Any-Day Tickets

General admission “Good Any Day” tickets are available for $20 in advance or at the gate with free admission available to children 15 years of age and under accompanied by a paid adult.  General admission tickets may also be purchased through participating area schools that have partnered with the Reno-Tahoe Open’s Chip in For Schools initiative, giving 100 percent of ticket proceeds sold directly back to the school.  In addition, general admission tickets can be bought through a nonprofit organization that has also teamed up with the Reno-Tahoe Open, in the new program Chip in For Charities, with 75 percent of the proceeds benefitting the participating charity of the customer’s purchase.

Military

Free admission into the tournament is available for all military personnel with proper military identification. In addition, the tournament hosts other events during tournament week including a Patriots’ Luncheon on Tuesday, Aug. 2 featuring US Navy Commander Kirk Lippold (Ret.); a Military Static Display, which is open to the public with real military vehicles and devices; a Reno-Tahoe International Airport Patriots’ Hangar on the 9th green open to Guard, Reserve, Veteran and Active Duty personnel and an Appreciation Station where spectators can send personalized hand-written letters to troops serving abroad. In addition, children can take part in the Soldier for the Day program, allowing young spectators to test those geo-caching skills by using coordinated points to find stations hosted by various branches of military throughout the course and collect military-inspired toys and treasures.

Reno-Tahoe Open Mirassou Wine Walk Tickets

Sample fine wines from California’s Mirassou winery at four tasting stations throughout the course with the purchase of a $20 Mirassou Wine Walk ticket, which may be added to any ticket package, or simply combined with a “Good Any Day” ticket.  Socialize and chat with friends while visiting each one of the four tasting stations pouring a variety of red and white wines that are sure to satisfy any palette. Wine Walk tickets do not grant tournament entry and may be purchased in advance online or at any on site Mirassou Wine Walk tasting station.

Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!

Get a little crazy this year with tickets to the “Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!,” back for its fourth go-round. The $20 on-site ticket price includes access to the premium “Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!” seating area on the 18th green along with its taco and burrito bar, and of course, the always-in-demand margarita and tequila bar (menu prices apply).  If a big group wants to join the party, the Fiesta Loco Party Pack includes a tournament ticket, entrance into the “Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!” tent and lunch vouchers, for 10 people each day during tournament play, Thursday-Sunday, for $1,200.

Women’s Day presented by Barrick Gold

Boasting the PGA TOUR’s “Best Practices” recognition, Women’s Day 2011 is back at the Reno-Tahoe Open for the second year in a row with an enhanced lineup of events and activities.  Included in the $225-per-person or $2,000-table-of-10 entry fee, are Mirassou Wine Walk tickets, a spot at the golf clinic taught by LPGA stars Beth Daniel and Meg Mallon, entrance to a hospitality tent located on the 18th green, a private expo area, luncheon and fashion show. Women’s Day tickets also include a season pass for an entire week of fun girls’ days out.

Champion Chevrolet’s Pack Pavilion Tickets

Expect a sea of silver and blue behind the signature hole’s 17th green at this years’ Reno-Tahoe Open at Montrêux with the new Champion Chevrolet’s Pack Pavilion. Pay $5 at the door or wear Wolf Pack blue for free entry into the pavilion to meet Wolfie, enjoy Bully’s Sports Bar fare, and watch golf with Pack fans, coaches and athletes alike.

Walktail Cocktail Competition Tickets

Dress up in vintage golf attire and sample area bars’ cocktail combinations all while enjoying PGA TOUR golf.  The Walktail Cocktail Competition, Aug. 6 and 7 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. features bars from around town competing for votes for the best cocktail.  Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the gate and include entry into the tournament and the opportunity to sample the drinks.

Ticket Bundle Packages

Round up a group of friends, family or co-workers and head to course with the following Ticket Bundle Packages:

#1: Includes 100 “Good Any Day” tickets, a company name listed in on-course signage and on the Reno-Tahoe Open website. $1,200.

#2: Includes 50 “Good Any Day” tickets, a company name listed in on-course signage and on the Reno-Tahoe Open website. $750

#3: Includes 25 “Good Any Day” tickets, a company name listed in on-course signage and on the Reno-Tahoe Open Web site. $400

All ticket bundle packages can be upgraded to include “Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!” admission passes at discounted prices.

Season and Clubhouse Season Passes

The Reno-Tahoe Open Season Pass is good for tournament-long admission Monday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 7 and is available for $65 online or at the gate. Come and go all week long including during the coveted Monday and Wednesday Pro-Ams where autograph opportunities abound, as well as during tournament play and final round excitement. The Clubhouse Season Pass also includes access to the grounds each day of the tournament, as well as entrance into the exclusive Montrêux Clubhouse and its award-winning dining options (menu prices apply). Rub elbows with the players and enjoy the best in accommodations with the Clubhouse Season Pass, available for $125.

NOLET’S® Silver VIP Pavilion

Experience the tournament like a VIP at the NOLET’S® Silver VIP Pavilion tent located on the 9th green. Enjoy themed daily cuisine, afternoon appetizers, and a full hosted bar while be treated to exciting golf at the pavilion with the following packages.

Eagle: Includes 10 NOLET’S® Silver VIP Pavilion tickets per day during tournament play, 10 Mirassou Wine Walk tickets, five on-site preferred parking passes per day, and entrance into the “Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!” tent. $6,500

Birdie: Includes five NOLET’S® Silver VIP Pavilion tickets per day during tournament play, five Mirassou Wine Walk tickets, two on-site preferred parking passes per day, and entrance into the “Fiesta Loco with Reno Tahoe USA!” tent. $3,500

Hospitality Packages

Impress clients and fans with a hospitality suite overlooking all the action on the 18th green at this year’s Reno-Tahoe Open.  Entertain 40 guests for a single day or throughout all of tournament play with flat screen TVs, catered food and a full hosted bar. Continue entertaining outside the tent with 10 Wine Walk tickets, 50 “Good Any Day” tickets, five $10 shopping vouchers to the tournament’s merchandise tent, and one voucher for a foursome to play Montrêux after tournament week. If being away from a cell phone is a problem while at the tournament, fans can now stay in touch with businesses and home life with the newly implemented PGA TOUR mobile device policy. To help enhance the fan experience, the policy allows spectators to carry mobile devices on the golf course with the volume setting on silent.  Spectators can make and receive phone calls and text messages at designated areas on course away from tournament play; however, video and audio recording is not permitted at any time and photographs are not permitted during official competition rounds, Thursday – Sunday.
