RAVEN hoists three juveniles from Pyramid Lake

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue personnel and the RAVEN helicopter responded to the area near the Sutcliffe Marina at Pyramid Lake for a water rescue of three juvenile that had been pushed towards the center of the lake.

While battling high winds and 4-foot swells, RAVEN Operators located the three juveniles inside a partially inflated raft approximately a quarter mile off the western shore. RAVEN Operators established a low hover and lowered a basket down to each of the juveniles. These juveniles were ultimately hoisted into the RAVEN helicopter and safely returned to the boat ramp where Fire personnel had assembled.
