Recreation intern, Sally Albrecht, will host an evening of learning about constellations, planets and lunar formations.  The evening’s activities will also include a night hike for those brave enough to venture out after dark along with activities designed to learn about astronomy.  Bring binoculars and a healthy appetite for stargazing.  The program is anticipated to last two hours.

Wilson Reservoir Recreation Area is located approximately 85 miles Northwest of Elko.  The campground has 21 developed sites with tables and fire rings.  There is a sanitary dump station and garbage service as well as seven restroom facilities.  Directions:  take State Route 225 (Mountain City Highway) about 24 miles north to Lone Mountain Station and turn left onto State Route 226 and follow the signs.  The last 17 miles are dirt road.  Overnight fees are $4 for camping and $2 per vehicle.

For more information, contact Sally Albrecht at the BLM, 775-753-0284 or email [email protected].
