SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators has announced that Washoe County will receive a 2011 Leadership Recognition Award. This award recognizes defined contribution plans for their outstanding achievements in plan design and administration.

The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) was founded in 1980. NAGDCA is a professional organization made up of the deferred compensation/defined contribution plan administrators from the 50 states and over 100 local governments and entities, as well as the private industry plan providers.

NAGDCA is an organization in which the members work together to improve government defined contribution plans through a sharing of information on investments, marketing, administration and laws relating to public sector deferred compensation/defined contribution plans.

The association also gathers, disseminates and exchanges information relating to the plans and works to impact laws and regulations concerning deferred compensation/defined contribution programs through a united effort.

This is the second time Washoe County has received an award from NAGDCA. The first award was a Leadership Award for Retirement Planning Education and Advice Programs in 2010. For more information about NAGDCA, visit www.nagdca.org.
