SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Sunday, June 26, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Join us in celebrating our 25th Anniversary and our new home, the Levy House at 121 California Avenue on the corner of California and Sierra.

9 a.m. – 6 p.m. – Open House and Grand Opening Sale:

We will open with regularly priced books, music and cards on sale at 25 percent off throughout the store. A variety of northern Nevada’s local authors will be present for book signing and visiting.

1:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Children’s Story Hour:

An hour of story telling and activities with local children’s book author Joyce Rossi and young adult author Terri Farley. Joyce will read from her popular bilingual picture book “The Gullywasher” as well as some of her other favorites. Terri will read selections from her series “The Phantom Stallion.”

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Anniversary Party at the Nevada Museum of Art:

The party moves next door to the Nevada Museum of Art where Willy Vlautin and his band Richmond Fontaine will rock the house! There will be tasty treats from our new neighbors at the Cheese Board and a wine bar hosted by St.James Infirmary.

6 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Silent Auction: Bidding begins on a tempting selection of collectible books, many signed by the author. The auction will also feature unique items we’ve collected throughout our 25 years in the book selling business — promotional displays, artwork, posters — many signed by the artist or author. A beautiful selection of ceramics and art by northern Nevada artists will also be up for grabs.

All proceeds from the silent auction, wine bar, and Sundance 25th Anniversary T-shirts will be donated to The Children’s Cabinet of Northern Nevada’s Cabinet Ink Silk Screen Printing Program.
