Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte will honor several local individuals for their contributions to protecting reproductive freedom and privacy at their 5th annual Voices for Change reception Thursday, June 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Reno.

This year’s award recipients include former Assemblyman Bernie Anderson, for his championing of reproductive rights in public policy; Nancyann Leeder, for her lifetime commitment to women’s rights; Pat and Johnna Cashill, for their long-standing commitment to Planned Parenthood; Geralda Miller, for her excellence in media coverage of the issues; Joey Clark, for extraordinary grassroots activism and Ashley Stieb, for representing the next generation of women’s rights activists.

Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, a sister organization of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, is the political arm dedicated to keeping government out of private medical decisions, widen access to reproductive health care and keep essential health information in schools. The group works on behalf of the public policy issues which affect people’s ability to make informed decisions about their family size and health.

Location for the event will be provided upon RSVP. Guests can RSVP and learn more by visiting www.VotingProChoice.org, by calling (775) 321-8719 or by email at [email protected]. If contacting by email guests should include “Voices” in the subject line.

Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte is the independent, non-partisan political advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. Our mission is to protect women’s health and privacy through lobbying and public policy, electing pro-choice candidates at all levels of government and identifying, educating and mobilizing pro-choice voters.
