Nevada Guard’s ADT returns home this weekend

CARSON CITY – The Nevada Guard’s Agri-business Development Team continues to return from it deployment to Afghanistan this weekend as about 50 Soldiers are set to arrive in the Silver State on Saturday. The ADT is comprised of about 60 Airmen and Soldiers from across the state. Eight Airmen returned to Reno on Wednesday.

WHAT: Nevada’s ADT arrival continues

WHO: About 50 Nevada Guard Soldiers

WHERE: Near the security checkpoints at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, 2001 Plumb Lane, Reno, and at McCarran International Airport, 5757 Newton Blvd., Las Vegas, at the bottom of the escalators into the baggage claim area.

WHEN: Saturday, June 25. In Reno, flights and numbers of passengers are as follows:

  • Continental 1470 – 11:22 a.m. – 7 pax , including unit commander (C concourse)
  • American Airlines 1487 – 11:50 a.m. – 1 pax (C concourse)
  • Southwest 3820 – 1:30 p.m. – 3 pax (B concourse)
  • Southwest 3477 – 4:30 p.m. – 4 pax (B concourse)

In Las Vegas, flights and numbers of passengers are as follows:

  • US Air 602 – 8:47 a.m. – 7 pax
  • Air Trans 260 – 10:45 a.m. – 7 pax
  • Delta 2317 – 1:25 p.m. – 4 pax
  • Air Trans 780 – 2:25 p.m. – 6 pax
  • Delta 375 – 3:40 p.m.  – 1 pax

The unit left Nevada for Afghanistan in July 2010. The team primarily worked in Logar, Wardak and Bamyan provinces helping improve the area’s agricultural techniques and farming capacities. They also worked with provincial and district level officials to develop a strategic plan for future improvements in the agricultural community.
