MINDEN, Nev. — The Carson Valley Inn features nightly free live entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge with no cover charge and no drink minimum.

Paul Covarelli, June 28 – 29:  Paul displays exceptional versatility on hits from artists like The Beatles, Merle Haggard and Jimmy Buffet plus sounds of jazz, blues and Latin.

Stew Stewart, June 30 – July 3:  A Stew Stewart show has something for everyone including country music, blues, oldies, comedy, classic rock, Motown and just plain ol’ fun – with a few surprises, too!  A Nevada entertainer for over four decades, Stew has appeared at over 100 state and county fairs, many as the opening act for artists such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Marie Osmond, Herman’s Hermits, The Drifters, The Coasters, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, The Oak Ridge Boys and more!  Stew’s band is a show in itself and they will be joined by Stew for his performances at 8 p.m. Thursday and at 8 and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Larry Elliot: July 4: “Lucky Uncle Sam” with the banjo will be performing his Yankee Doodle Dandy show from 1 to 5 p.m. on the stage and strolling throughout the casino. With no political connection with any party, he represents everything lucky. As the old antique poster we’ve all seen proclaims, “Uncle Sam Wants You” to have a good time at the CVI on Independence Day!

George Pickard, July 4 – 7: George is an accomplished performer, believable impressionist, captivating entertainer and successful song writer.  He co-wrote “What Did You Do with Your Old Forty Fives” for Bobby Vinton and he backed up many acts from the fifties and sixties including The Shirelles, The Diamonds and The Platters.  He was also one of the Kingsmen (Louie, Louie) for awhile.  George has played the Fillmore in San Francisco with acts such as Santana, Big Brother and the Holding Company and Jefferson Airplane.

Lee Alverson as Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joel and Elton John, July 8 & 9:  Lee Alverson captivates audiences with his singing and his dazzling rock ‘n’ roll piano playing. He has performed well over 3,000 shows with appearances in 38 states including corporate shows for clients such as Intel Corp, Universal Studios and Coca Cola. For the past 10 years, Lee has taken on the role of “Tribute Artist” becoming one of the most successful Elton John Impersonators in the world with endorsements’ by United Tribute Artists International and The Elton John International Fan Club. He also impersonates Jerry Lee Lewis and Billy Joel and all three of these legends will be featured in his appearances at the Carson Valley Inn. Lee’s Jerry Lee Lewis and Billy Joel tributes will be during the show starting at 8 p.m. both nights and his Elton John Tribute begins at 10 p.m.

Mezkal, July 10: Lead by Cesar Perez on guitar and main vocals, Mezkal fuses together a unique blend of Latin music styles such as Cumbia, Merengue, Rock en Español and Norteñas delivering a one-of-a-kind performance. Joining Cesar – all with extensive skills and playing styles – are Freddy Torres (bass and backup vocals), Carlos Neri (drums), Fernando Neri (percussion), Chris Reyes (guitar and backup vocals) and Miguel Arredondo (keyboards).

Gene LeSage, July 11 – 13: Gene “Geno” LeSage entertains on keyboards and vocals with a variety of modern country tunes and rock hits from the 70s and 80s. From 1991 through two years ago, Geno was the keyboardist and high harmony background vocalist for country music artist, Collin Raye. Brought up in Minden where his father, Gene LeSage III, owned a small recording studio, Geno spent 20 years living in Nashville before recently relocating to California where he produces, writes and collaborates on jingles, commercials, song writing and has other “irons in the fire.”

Steppen Stonz, July 14 – 16: Steppen Stonz performs Broadway tunes, oldies, Motown and pop – an array of musical styles that appeals to most musical tastes. The core of the group is the two lead vocalists – Michael Hill and Arthur Hayden – who started in college and have been performing together uninterrupted for over 30 years. When you see and hear Steppen Stonz, you’ll feel as though you are at a concert and the show is designed especially for you.

The Carson Valley Inn (www.carsonvalleyinn.com) is located on US Hwy 395 in Minden, NV near the start of State Hwy 88, 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe’s south shore and 45 minutes south of Reno.  The property includes a recently-remodeled casino, 153-room hotel (including 7 just-remodeled suites and 40 just-remodeled deluxe rooms), 74-room motor lodge, 59-site RV Park, free nightly Cabaret Lounge entertainment and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel.  Three dining facilities include Katie’s, Job’s Perk and CV Steak, a Nevada-style steakhouse featuring steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta and more.
