The Northern Nevada University of Phoenix Campus will honor nearly 200 students at its graduation ceremony taking place Saturday, May 21st, 2011 at the Reno Sparks Convention Center. Campus Director, Dr. Robert Larkin is proud to announce that Katy Simon, Washoe County Manager, will be providing the commencement address and Rosalynda Paez Carlton, Master of Science in Counseling/Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy will offer the graduate speech addressing the graduating class, family, and friends.
The Conferring of Degrees will be presented by Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Michelle Palaroan. During the 2010 graduation ceremony, Dr. Palaroan and Dr. Larkin were the first doctoral graduates to participate at the Northern Nevada commencement ceremony.
The presentation of Distinguished Faculty will be presented by Dr. Michelle Palaroan. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Student Leadership Award will be given to an undergraduate or graduate business student who has developed leadership qualities and maintained a high level of academic accomplishment while progressing through his/her program at the University of Phoenix. The award recognizes students who have exhibited leadership in the community, professional and/or academic ground and organizations while enrolled at the University.
The Northern Nevada Campus is known for providing aggressive business programs and is well recognized for its impact on the education and counseling community.
