SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
With the summer season and the 13th annual Reno-Tahoe Open at Montrêux quickly approaching, the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation – the non-profit organization that operates the annual PGA TOUR event – has teamed up with famed chef Charlie Palmer and the Grand Sierra Resort to offer northern Nevada an entertaining evening of food and wine. On Friday, June 17 from 6 – 9 p.m. the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation takes center stage during Napa’s Backyard, a food and wine pairing competition featuring delectable dishes from Charlie Palmer’s celebrated chefs matched with wines from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards including Arger-Martucci, Duckhorn, HALL and Rombauer.
The Reno-Tahoe Open and Grand Sierra Resort invite the community to join these acclaimed chefs from across the nation during a competition to win “Top Pairing” – a challenge to create the most unique and delicious small plate and Napa-Sonoma wine pairing.
