CARSON CITY – Yesterday Gov. Brian Sandoval signed the proclamation calling for a special election on Tuesday, Sept. 13, to fill the vacant Congressional District 2 seat formerly held by Dean Heller.
“Today I have officially called for a special election to fill Nevada’s vacant U.S. Congressional Seat on September 13th,” Governor Sandoval said. “This proclamation begins the process under which the election shall conform with all applicable federal and state laws as interpreted by the Secretary of State.”
