SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
RENO, Nev. – The 16th Annual Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival is searching for a brand new brewer — you! That’s right, the Eldorado Hotel Casino and the Reno Gazette Journal are teaming up to find the next big beer and we’re looking for home brewers to share their recipes for a chance to mass brew and serve their own ale at the Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival in June!
Whether it’s a bubbly pilsner, a sweet red or a hearty wheat, the Eldorado and RGJ want to hear about your best homemade beer. To enter, submit your original recipe to Johnathan Wright, Food & Drink Editor at the RGJ, along with a brief biography about you and your beer. Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, May 18. A winner will be selected by Eldorado’s own Brew Master Greg Hinge.
Our 2011 Home Brew Contest winner will work alongside Greg at The Brew Brothers inside the Eldorado, hand-crafting the beer from start to finish. The beer will be served alongside The Brew Brothers own specialty microbrews for crowds to sample at the Festival. The winner will be contacted by the week of May 23.
