Traffic Control: Construction at Prater Way and Sparks Blvd. on April 23

Date:

SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) will work at the intersection of Prater Way and Sparks Blvd. on Saturday, April 23. The construction will begin at 5 a.m., and traffic control will run between 5 a.m. and midnight. While lanes will be open, there will be no left turns allowed and traffic may be slow.

This construction is a permanent repair to a 24-inch steel water main where a leak occurred on Dec. 24, 2010. At the time of the leak, the necessary parts were unavailable and the planned repair taking place on Saturday is a better option for our customers and the water system.

Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is a not-for-profit water utility, overseen by elected officials from Reno, Sparks and Washoe County.
