Public relations chapter offers free workshop for members

prsa_logo-square-small-1806272-7147803RENO, Nev. – The local chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is encouraging public relations professionals to advance their skills by shifting their work from the tactical approach to a strategic plan.

The group is offering a free breakfast program Wednesday, April 27, on becoming accredited in public relations.

The program will address questions about the accreditation process and what participants will learn in preparing for the accreditation test. Alexia Bratiotis, APR co-director of professional development for the Sierra Nevada Chapter, will guide the group to an  understanding of the importance and value of earning the APR designation.

Participants will also have the chance to interact with a panel of local accredited public relations professionals: Julie Ardito, APR; Don Butterfield, APR; Anne McMillin, APR; moderated by Jane Tors; APR.

The event is free for chapter members, and open to non-members. Register online here.
