New national competition looking for talent in Reno, finals to air on ABC

RENO, Nev. Go from singing for fun with friends to becoming a worldwide vocal superstar at the Eldorado Hotel Casino, where local karaoke lovers are getting the chance to be front and center in a national television karaoke competition set to air on ABC in early August 2011!  It’s “Karaoke Battle USA,” giving talent from across the country the chance to be discovered!

Vocalists from Northern Nevada are invited to audition for “Karaoke Battle USA” by participating in one of three different local Live Band Karaoke showcases inside BuBinga Lounge at the Eldorado on Tuesdays May 3, 10 and 17 beginning at 8 p.m.  Contestants will sing their hearts out to local Celebrity Judges, including Pat Hambright from KOLO TV and Bill Schulz and Connie Wray from Alice 96.5 FM!  The single Top Female, Top Male and People’s Choice Award winner will move on to “Karaoke Battle USA” State Competition to be held at the Eldorado Showroom on Monday, May 23!

Winners of each State Competition on the West Coast will move onto the “Karaoke Battle USA” Regional Finals, which will be held at the House of Blues in Las Vegas!  Karaoke stars who win their Regions will then move onto the nationally televised “Karaoke Battle USA” Finals, which are tentatively set to run on ABC for six weeks beginning August 8.
