Melt with Me
Opening reception for Melt with Me is tonight from 6-8PM at the Holland Project gallery. Melt With Me’ is a collection of paintings which represent the intricate delicacies of love created by two people simply holding each other. The message being conveyed through these paintings is that the ultimate intimacy may be nothing more than a glance, a touch, a kiss, an embrace. Each piece is black and white with a splash of color. The color represents the passionate spark that these two people share. The human body is beautiful. Love amplifies that raw beauty times a million. TONIGHT! 6-8pm.
Grace Alley//Bad Liar//Drag Me Under//Villain
DUDES! On April 28th, Grace Alley is coming to the Holland Show Space with Bad Liar. Grace Alley plays an awesome rock & roll hardcore hybrid and Bad Liar is Oakland punk. Playing with them are quasi-violence-thrashers Villain and weekly players Drag Me Under. THIS GOING TO RULE. Thursday April, 28th at the Holland Show Space, 7:30pm, $5.
Zion I and the Grouch
Check Zion I and the Grouch this Saturday at the Grand Sierra Resort. Zion I & The Grouch have been leaders marching to the beat of their own 808’s for some time now returning with their sophomore collaborative effort Heroes in the Healing of the Nation. A portion of the ticket sales will go to Holland. So see a great show and help out Holland!
Koji and The Resolve tour
Koji, an artist and activist from Harrisburg, PA, is teaming up with Resolve, an advocacy organization that connects activists, policy makers and civil society leaders in efforts to stop the violence perpetrated by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel group committing atrocities in remote communities of central Africa for more than 20 years. Koji and the Resolve are teaming up with locals Sunset District, Midnight Lights, Our Devices, and Spoken Word to play the Holland Show Space on Tuesday May 3rd. Starts at 6:30 $5, $7 after first performer.
