Basin Street Properties, a prominent West Coast commercial real estate developer and investor and the largest office landlord in downtown Reno, has announced it has hired Par Tolles as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
As part of the Basin Street Properties’ team, Tolles will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and finances of the company including debt and equity financing of acquisition and development projects in addition to property and land acquisitions and dispositions. He also will oversee accounting and financial reporting as well as foster client and community relationships. Tolles will work closely with President and CEO Matt White and Basin Street Properties’ board of directors in order to facilitate successful ways to achieve the company’s vision as well as develop and monitor the company’s long-term goals in northern Nevada, Sacramento and the North Bay Area.
Tolles brings more than 20 years of commercial development experience to Basin Street Properties. From 2007 to 2010, Tolles served as president of Dermody Properties/DP Partners. Prior to 2007, he was principal for Trammell Crow Company in Nevada and managing director for the parent company CBRE for northern Nevada. Tolles serves on the board of trustees for the Desert Research Institutes (DRI) Research Parks and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN).
Tolles’ industry involvement includes being a past president of the Northern Nevada Certified Commercial Investment Member Chapter as well as past president and founder of the Summit Awards, which are commercial development and brokerage awards to encourage and recognize distinguished commercial agents, brokers, property managers, developers and projects.
