Learn the basics of growing roses in northern Nevada from a leading grower of the fragrant flowers in a “Roses for Dummies” class at Rail City Garden Center, 1720 Brierley Way in Sparks, NV at 11 a.m. on Sat., April 16.
Stuart Miller, from Weeks Roses, will talk about new varieties and how to select roses that will be successful in northern Nevada. He will also address feeding and pest control for roses.
While the Green College Seminar is free, the donation of one can of food for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada is encouraged. Seating is limited so call 775-355-1551 to register and reserve your seat.
